I can't help but feel concerned about the direction restroom technology is going. Today, the only available stall in a mall restroom had some urine in it, but no flusher, because it detects your weight and flushes when that weight is removed. So, I sat on it because I really had to go. When I leaned to the left (this is the direction I lean, always and without fail) the toilet automatically flushes, thinking I stood up. I get that gross toilet water on my hands.

But my troubles do not end there. The sink has no taps. Instead, you hold your hand under it. I do so, and it takes a few seconds, so I wave my hands around. Eventually a cold, weak little stream of water sprinkles my hands. Afterwards, I go to dry them, and its another automatic dryer (no paper towels anywhere). After some effort, a weak stream of slightly warm air covers my hands, and after a minute, they are still not quite dry.

This is v. serious, gaiz.

Greetings, lads and lasses. I now have moar regular internets access, so I'm in a semi-returned state. I still won't be able to comment as often as I'd like or write as often as I'd like, but I'm kickin' around now. I'll do a bit post in a few days (on matters like new manga, current manga, writing, what I've been doing, what's happening in Canada, etc etc)

Anywho...I hope everyone has been doing well.

I've recently moved out of my Mom's and into my Dad's. In addition to adjusting, there are a few other things that need to be sorted out (in addition, my computer access is now pretty limited). Sooo...until further notice, I am on Hiatus! I may still be able to comment here and there, but it will be rare. Until my triumphant return, best wishes to all~!

I know, it's been a while since I posted.

School is going pretty well so far. I like most of my teachers. A few of them are boring as hell, but it can't be helped. There's a few new people to the school in our grade, and I'm slowly starting to get to know them. I've also been hitting up the gym lately. As I predicted, my stamina wasn't as good as when I used to go, but I'm finally able to run a full 30 minutes on the treadmill again. Of course, there are some days where my motivation fails me, and I go "fuck this".

The title is about a program called RPG Maker VX. It's a program by Enterbrain that lets you make your own RPG's. However, much to my dismay, I've discovered that you need a scripting talent to make a half-decent battle system. Otherwise, you are stuck with a crappy one thats about on par with RPG Maker 2000. It isn't even side-view, man. You don't see your characters with the default one in VX. The cost of the program wasn't too big of a deal to me before, since my brother doesn't mind paying for something online if I pay him in cash beforehand, but now I don't think I want to get it.

So instead, I'm going to get RPG Maker 2003 again, because I actually know how to use it. The small problem with this is that it is...well...illegal. It was released for sale in Japan, but this version was never set for release in the US or Canada. Some folks translated it themselves and now you can find it on the internets. I feel bad, and I wanted a legit version, but c'mon! I mean, if I could buy it in English, I totally would, but that isn't an option T_T

I haven't written anything in a while--not since (finally) updating my Pokemon fic. I should get on that.

Sorry to anyone whose LJ I have not commented on in a while. As summer wraps up, I've been going on adventures and getting everything taken care of before I return to school (and that time is now nigh). Of course, the weather in Winnipeg as of late hasn't been very accomodating. Mostly rain the last few days, and at one point it was just banannas how much came down >_>

Now that I'm going to school, I won't be around quite as often, though I'm not going on hiatus or anything. I wanna try hard this year and make everyone proud :3

I'm also going to the gym again. My dad suggested we get a membership at the YMCA again and I was down for that, so I'll likely go after school a few days a week. When I used to go a while back, I was able to run for 30 minutes on the treadmill without any problems, but I suspect I'll be experiencing epic levels of fail for the first bit back.

One last thing before I go: a fall election is definitely coming here in Canada. I've already started seeing commercials and getting shit in the mail. It doesn't help Harper that he passed legislation for fixed election dates a few weeks back (the next election wasn't supposed to be until October 2009, but he went broke that promise). I guess I can understand why he might do that. It's harder to get shit done with a minority government, and there's also a lot of uncertainity/insecurity. *sigh* I wish I was old enough to vote.

This time the title is a reference to all those lame OC-centric stories in the Phoenix Wright section of FFN. I made up the name myself, it sounds really cool, amirite?!

I started writing my Pokemon story again after at least 100 months of not doing anything. This came about when I tried to start the KH fic I've been planning and was completely unsatisfied with the beginning. Rgh, I mean I have it all planned out, why the F is it so hard? T_T

A fiddled around with a few other things too. For example, a Persona 3 parody/humor kind of fic where Minato starts the New Game+. He remembers everything that happened in the last game, he is as strong as he was at the end, and his bank account is overflowing with money that came from nowhere (aka the last game). Of course, I didn't get far, because you can't really do much with that. I pondered about having him realize that either way he is gonna die, so he is going to live life to the fullest while he can (and also see about killing Takaya and Jin early), but...eh.

Summer is almost done, and then I'll be heading back to school. It's been a pretty good one, but I think it's important I do one last big thing. Maybe there will be another bush party, cabin adventure, or camping/fishing trip. I'm selling moar stuff today, so I'll have moniez :D

I went on a mini-adventure today before rain shooed me inside. Oh, about the title: it's a quote from Shadow Hearts 3 character "Frank" who is an American ninja, and the biggest dork ever. He says it when he uses healing magic, mmhmm. I lol'd when he put a hilt on an old bus stop and named it "Bus Stop Saber". His speech moved me too.

Um, let me see hurr. I think this year I'm going to go NaNoWriMo (is that what its called?) After hearing both Anthraxpretzels and Katmillia speak of it, I decided. I don't really know what I'm gonna do, but I have a few ideas floating around. I suck at meeting deadlines though, so we'll see how it goes.

This is actually a bit embarassing, but... allismine , I hope you're doing well. I know you updated a while back, but it feels like you haven't been around so much. I take it to mean you're busy and have been doing non-internets things, but...but I do miss you, because you're so cool and I look up to you and can you stop getting older for two years so I can catch up to you in age and then maybe we can get married?? I know how to do my own laundry and I'm not afraid of anything!

I have a sort of self-imposed rule where I try not to post more than twice in a day, but I had the urge to do so again. Sorry. With regards to my previous post, I think the comments section filled up, so the anon-meme is now a no go, mhmm.

Lately the computer and video games just haven't appealed to me in the same way. I mean, I get out a fair share and usually try and do something with friends whenever I can, but I still used to fill a good bit of my free time with one of the two. Today as I sat on the cornpooter (because according to the weather, it's too freaking hot outside) I just...didn't like it. Even classic video games are blarg to me. The only video games I'm looking forward too right now are Persona 4 and maybe one or 2 DS games.

Anyways, the point is, I think I'm at a weird little phase in my youth where I want to slowly swear off computer and video games, unless it's for the purpose of writing, e-mail stuff, or doing school work. I can't say how well that will work though--I'm already saying "well, maybe I won't get rid of this program" and jazz.

As for what I'd fill the time not spent at school or with friends with, I've thought of a few things. I don't really have a bike, but I like bike riding, so maybe that. I'm also very in to boxing and although I trained a bit with a friend who took it, I haven't joined a club myself. Maybe I can do that. Or even just a normal gym would be good. I could also devote more time to writing, though I hardly do any of that...eheh...but maybe this would be the kick in the butt I need to get going. I'm also a fan of animals, so I could volunteer at the local rescue shelter. I'm in to politics, so while I doubt there is anything for one my age, maybe I could try and volunteer for the local MLA. I could also read a bit more, since I've been rec'd some good books. Or I can look for a new job, since I'm getting terrible hours (ie: one or two 4 hour shifts on the weekend) at The Place Which I Shall Not Name.

I know, I know. People reading this are probably thinking 'lol you're such a kid, talking about materialism and shit'. I'm sorry, but it's how I feel right now. I'm really gonna try, so plz wish me luck in this~!

The title of this post is a reference to a show (da kink in my hair) which I think was canceled.

I finally beat Odin Sphere, and book-wise, I finished the third book in the "Song of Ice and Fire" series. It's so dark, damn. I love it like I love coffee in the mornings.

I told myself I'd never do it, but lately I've been having the urge to write a fic for Naruto. I'm so turned off to the manga itself, and a quick romp through fanfiction.net never fails to remind me why I don't care much for the fandom, but even still. I wager if I did, I'd be one of the low key authors who *didn't* get an arseload of reviews, so it would be a nice little thing to work on. The fic would be an AU taking place when Naruto is in his twenties, or thereabouts. It assumes that Pein got his wish (though Madara was killed) and villages got a hold of the forbidden/destructive art to nuke each other with.
Anyways, on to something else: I was thinking of having a 'spotlight' post every week or so dedicated to one of my LJ pals chosen at random. The purpose would be to both let them know how much they rock, and let the rest of my f-list know too (maybe you'd all make friends?!) If anyone isn't down with this, plz let me know and I'll exclude makin' a post aboot you in the future, aight?

If someone were to ask me "which two kinds of shirts do you hate the most?" (I'm sure you all get this all the time), I would have to answer with "collared stripped shirts and polo shirts". What are they? These:





They are bad shirts and I hate them. I don't know why, but I really can't stand the way they look. Plz understand that I love you all, but for my sake, please never wear one of these kinds of shirts. My heart would break.

1) Odin Sphere has been taking over my life, but I'm on a break. In the Fate chapter, I forgot to save, so when I quit because Beldor & Belial were kicking my ass, I wound up back at the start of Act 6.

2) In FFIV, I'm already approaching the Sealed Cave. It feels like FFIV is kind of short.

3) I haven't updated anything in like a month, damn. On a related note, I kind of want to do a bit of Twilight parody stuff. Just short pieces. The three I had in mind were "Everything he does is beautiful", "It's because he loves me", and "Strange/vague vampire powers". Lol, half my f-list has been making fun of this story lately, so it seems like I should hop on the wagon.

4) I edited my interests for like the millionth time. Why can't I stop?!

5) I'm not really that fond of this time of year because we have a bunch of birthdays all close together, and I really don't like the kind of gathering that involves my step-dad, grandfather, and a bunch of other family members (on the flip side, I like birthdays at my dad's house)

6) I keep getting molested in Texas Hold'em. For those who aren't aware, me and a couple of buddies get together once a week and throw in 5 or 10 bucks a person for a game. I realize it's illegal, but so is your mom. Anyways, last night was brutal. I'd get a full house and 'the devil' would get four of a kind, the only thing that could have beaten me. I had three of a kind in a situation where the only possible thing to beat me would be a strait (Ace/2/3/4/5, and note that I forgot this is legit) and that's what they had. Urgh!

7) My distaste for rant communities--or rather, the type of people who form the majority in them--remains. But I can't decide which I like less, fanficrants or khfanficrants. 

8) A chum recently told me Naruto has been getting better. After looking in to this, I am forced to call chum a liar.

I wanted to write one of my chaptered stories today, but I was having trouble, so I decided to write something to get my fingers moving. Since I've been playing FFIV lately and since I happen to know certain someone's who are fond of this, I wrote this (extremely brief) snippet here.

Also: That stupid Dark Elf has been molesting me in FFIVDS whenever he turns into the Dark Dragon.

I just got it today. At the moment, I've gotten to Castle Damcyan. Here are my thoughts thus far:

-I love the small additions, like the mini games, the new summon, the shop window, auto-abilities and so on

-At first, I thought Cecil as kinda whiny, like "Yeah, you're sad, I get it" but he is still the bees knees

-Rydia is so freaking cute, oh my god! Her voice actress and the way her character looks and...and...awwww!

-It also seems the characters are being fleshed out more than they had been in the original, which is always fly

-Instead of Darkness taking some HP to deal a bit of damage to all enemies, it now makes your physical attack do more damage at the cost of HP. Against bosses, I like it a lot more. But I remember I liked using the prior version in fights full of multiple weak enemies.

-I hope they make Paladin Cecil better! In the original, his white magic kinda sucked so I only found him good for physically attacking enemies.

All in all, I love it somethin' crazy.

McNally Robinson is a bookstore which rocks my socks. I went to check it out again, the one near Polo Park (now with 50% less Polo) and bought "A Game of Thrones" (from 'A Song of Fire and Ice' series) and two mangas, Disgaea one and two. Maan, they have lots of manga there, I love it.

I'll tell you what I don't love though. Lazy parents. See, I stopped by McNally Robinson because it's also near a walk-in clinic in the area (don't worry, nothing serious xD). In the clinic, there were these two kids slapping each other's legs cuz they were wearing shorts, and after like twenty minutes they apparently weren't tired of it. The parents did nothing as the sound of skin being smacked looped every few seconds forever. Then on the bus ride home, this mother comes on with like five kids. They all scramble to the back and proceed to make noise/bug each other, while the mother takes a seat at the front and forgets they exist until their stop.

Lastly, a recent exchange with Atoli has led me to ask my brother if he can use his paypal for me when there is something online I want. He agreed (I didn't even have to bug him!) so whenever I give him the money beforehand and let him know what I want, he'll do it up for me. That opens up e-bay games and livejournal gifts to me. Score!
